Grabbenfest in Deutschland

A highlight of the stay in Darmstadt was the Grabbenfest! It is an annual large scale music festival lasting for 3 days that attracted crowds to throng the Darmstadt centre area. There were many stalls selling food and drinks and of cuz, a few stages with diff music bands putting up a variety of music performances. I didnt like the idea of them forbidding us to bring water in cuz they want us to buy drinks from the fest :(

I went there on 2 days, on the first nite of the festival with bren winnie wj zollin bumin arnold yihan and returned there on the 2nd day with winnie and zollin to take more pictures cuz my camera batt died on the first day!!

It was a very nice feeling to soak in the partying atmosphere at night and it was at the fest that I first tried cocktails like Sex on the Beach and Pina Colada! :) We saw some people dancing to the music played on the streets too! It was a pity we had to catch the last S-bahn home and could not stay out late on the first night :( Brenda and i were so tired that we overslept on our way home! Reached home around 1plus am, which I never did so in Spore lo. :x

Grilling pork and bread for the super long meat kebab

Sizzling meat.

Onkel Zollin with the super huge meat kebab. hahas it was pretty funny cuz he was holding the stick while we took turns to bite some grilled meat from the stick, which seemed like a daddy feeding his little kids. lol.

Meat Kebab stall that says ' We have the longest'. I thought this man looks cool with the kebab and snapped a pic of him with the stall while he walked away with his purchase! :)

Winnie and i with the long kebab.. taken on the 2nd day of the fest actually. Thats why it's very bright. hehe

One of the many stalls selling meat. hahas how can carnivorous Germans live without meat mans!

Four gals with the Hungarian food that we bought. It's sth like pizza, a deep fried dough with cheese and ham on top. :)

They grill a whole cow each day and towards the end of the day u can only see the bones left.

Candy store selling popcorn, chocs, sweets, bubble gum, etc. The myriad of colours really excites me man!
