Zweite Tag in Luzern-- Mt Pilatus+Verkehrshaus der Schweiz!

On the second day of our stay in Luzern, we visited one of the mountains called Mt Pilatus. It was a very cloudy day and it was very misty up on the mountain, nevertheless the scenery throughout the tour up and down Mt pilatus was beautiful and truly reflected the glory of God. A pity i couldnt capture the beauty of Nature with my camera but the feeling of being awed by lovely sceneries is deeply imprinted on my heart. :)

Going up Mt Pilatus in the cablecar

View of cable car + cows on the way up!

Close up of my favourite black&white cows :) reminds me of ben and jerry's :)

As we travel higher up the mountain...

At a rope suspension park on Mt Pilatus.

i love this pic! Captured the mountain, lake, houses, COWS!!, swiss flag, pple, etc. :)

Awesome shade of blue.

Super misty!!

Windy and chilly too!! Took very few pictures on mt Pilatus actually cuz it was toooo cold and i had loads of inertia to remove my hands from my warm pockets and get the camera from my bag.

Spring water?

Which they mix with beer and sell to pple for 3euros. -_-.

Cafe on Mt Pilatus.

Took the cogwheel down Mt Pilatus.

And saw pple climbing up the mountain on our way down! gosh... There are really quite a handful of Nature loving and fit pple in Germany and Switz mans.

A shot taken on the way down..

Brown cows with bells grazing on the grass

Alighted the cogwheel... and set off for the cruise :)

Took a photo while waiting for the ship. It was so windy that i needed my hood to keep my hair in place!

As we embark on our 45mins cruise ride...note the nice clouds and sky!!

Snapped a cute pic of winnie while she was enjoying her yoghurt..lol

Houses by the lake.

With Yachts.. gosh, i dont mind staying by the lake and enjoy a slow paced life in which i can sail out occasionally in my yacht to fish and soak in the beauty of the lake. muahaha.

Alighted at some stop which i forgot the name and we visited the Transport Museum in Luzern, which we entered by the cafe and erms...didnt pay for the entrance fee accidentally. lol. It was close to closing time tho and we didnt get to tour the whole museum. sigh.

Winnie and i in the Plane simulator. Acc to onkel zollin our screams could be heard from outside... erms. hehe. i must confess to screaming much louder and frequently than winnie.. lol.

Ancient Switz train.. seems like those Harry Potter trains..

3 of us by Lake Luzern.

Clear Waters...whee.

We were blessed with great weather and it rained only when we returned to our hotel after dinner. gosh. Wir hatten viel gluck! :D Went to the bar near our hotel that day too and onkel Zl ordered Tequila sunset, which wn and i got to try.. heh.

Excerpt of Passion of Christ that can bring one to tears.. Chanced upon this accidentally while searching for random songs on youtube. Watching the video makes me feel as tho i was there to witness how Jesus was brutally tortured and crucified, which totally wrenches one's heart.

I dunno where this video is taken from but it's very touching too...

Erste Tag in Luzern.

As the 3rd Monday of Summer school in Darmstadt was a holiday, the group of us seized the opportunity to travel somewhere further over the long weekend break. The majority went to Rugen, a baltic island in Northern Germany to chillax with some other Singporean students studying in Germany while wn zl and i flew to Lucerne, a city in Switzerland :)

The journey didnt start off well cuz of the problems we faced while checking in. It's a really long story but wn and i had an adrenaline-packed experience of rushing for our flight while zl missed his. To make matters worse, zl lost his luggage too. It was a complex mixture of feelings back then mans. But i thank God for things are always under his control and He always has a way out for us.

The comfy train we took from Zurich airport to Lucerne.

Row of cafes in Luzern.

Nice antique car :P

HAHA. posed with this Lambo we spotted on the streets.

Post Office of Lucerne.

Streets with the typical tram u see arnd in Luzern.

The funky antique lift in our budget hotel! The lift has only 2 walls with its frame and you push the door open to enter the lift. It's also frickin small and there was barely enuff space for the 3 of us and our luggage. hahas, pretty cool rite!

Famous Chapel Bridge & Wasserturm (Water tower) in Luzern. I think this is well-taken and like it alot!! heh. The Chapel Bridge is the oldest wooden bridge in Europe and the octangonal tower was used as a prison and torture chamber.

Winnie and me on the Chapel Bridge. There's a series of paintings inside the bridge depicting the history of Luzern but many were destroyed in a fire.

Peek a boo!

Nice scenery, isnt it :)
God's paintings are sooo awesome! We were blessed with great weather (cooling and didnt rain) too, which made walking around more enjoyable and relaxing.

Cheese fondue! :) It tasted kinda bitter initially cuz the mixture of cheese contains wine!..but got betta towards the end either cuz the alcohol evaporated or i adapted to the taste. But on the whole it's still enjoyable cuz i simply love cheese :)

Picturesque evening view from the balcony of our hotel room. Damnn niceee lah, but i had to zoom to the max to capture this as the mountain was very far away.

Grabbenfest in Deutschland

A highlight of the stay in Darmstadt was the Grabbenfest! It is an annual large scale music festival lasting for 3 days that attracted crowds to throng the Darmstadt centre area. There were many stalls selling food and drinks and of cuz, a few stages with diff music bands putting up a variety of music performances. I didnt like the idea of them forbidding us to bring water in cuz they want us to buy drinks from the fest :(

I went there on 2 days, on the first nite of the festival with bren winnie wj zollin bumin arnold yihan and returned there on the 2nd day with winnie and zollin to take more pictures cuz my camera batt died on the first day!!

It was a very nice feeling to soak in the partying atmosphere at night and it was at the fest that I first tried cocktails like Sex on the Beach and Pina Colada! :) We saw some people dancing to the music played on the streets too! It was a pity we had to catch the last S-bahn home and could not stay out late on the first night :( Brenda and i were so tired that we overslept on our way home! Reached home around 1plus am, which I never did so in Spore lo. :x

Germans eating and drinking at the Grabbenfest while enjoying the music performances put up by various bands.

Many heart shaped biscuits..or gingerbread?

sweet stuff.

Translation: Me for You. (erms, literal translation. ) , You are extremely sweet, cuddly bear. gosh, damn mushy.

Barbecuing sausages and bread over charcoal on this circular metal piece.

Grilling pork and bread for the super long meat kebab

Sizzling meat.

Onkel Zollin with the super huge meat kebab. hahas it was pretty funny cuz he was holding the stick while we took turns to bite some grilled meat from the stick, which seemed like a daddy feeding his little kids. lol.

Meat Kebab stall that says ' We have the longest'. I thought this man looks cool with the kebab and snapped a pic of him with the stall while he walked away with his purchase! :)

Winnie and i with the long kebab.. taken on the 2nd day of the fest actually. Thats why it's very bright. hehe

One of the many stalls selling meat. hahas how can carnivorous Germans live without meat mans!

Four gals with the Hungarian food that we bought. It's sth like pizza, a deep fried dough with cheese and ham on top. :)

They grill a whole cow each day and towards the end of the day u can only see the bones left.

variety of colourful drinks!

Haribo candies!

Candy store selling popcorn, chocs, sweets, bubble gum, etc. The myriad of colours really excites me man!

Big pretzels that are almost twice the size of Aunt Anne pretzels. They seemed unhygiene tho.. haha.

Ice cream

Shisha.

A funky family. The dad cycles the kids around and the kids are sooooo cuteeee lah! Oh, the parents are very sporting as they posed for a picture for me later. warm and friendly pple :)
